QCY MeloBuds Pro Review 2025 : Amazing Sound and Incredible Price
QCY MeloBuds Pro Review (2025): Amazing Sound & Incredible Price!
A few months ago, I had the pleasure of reviewing the QCY H3 Pro Headphones, and I was genuinely surprised. I thought they were the loudest headphones I had tried in 2024, and the sound quality was excellent for the price. As you know, I’ve tested a lot of headphones and earbuds here, and yes—the H3 Pro really impressed me. So when QCY contacted me to try the MeloBuds Pro, I was excited to see if they could repeat the magic. You see, the MeloBuds Pro are available for less than £45 or $45, and at that price, delivering great sound quality can be a challenge. And guess what? QCY has nailed it! The MeloBuds Pro are incredible, and by far, they offer the best value for money in 2025.
So, here’s my experience and review of the QCY MeloBuds Pro.
Disclaimer: QCY sent me the MeloBuds Pro free of charge for review purposes, but the opinions expressed here are entirely mine. QCY has not seen this post before publishing, and I would never recommend something I dislike. In fact, the MeloBuds Pro have replaced my Edifier earbuds...
Let’s dive into the review!
Unboxing & First Impressions
As someone who appreciates good packaging (because, let’s be honest, if a brand cares about presentation, they likely care about the product itself), I was pleasantly surprised. The QCY MeloBuds Pro comes in a compact yet stylish box with a clean design. Inside, you get:
The earbuds themselves
A charging case
USB-C charging cable
Multiple ear tips for different fits
A quick-start guide
The earbuds have a sleek, modern look with a stem-style design reminiscent of AirPods Pro. The build quality feels surprisingly premium for the price, and they sit comfortably in the ears.
Key Features & Specifications
1. Hi-Res Audio & LDAC Support
One of the standout features is the inclusion of Hi-Res audio certification and LDAC codec support, which allows for higher-quality audio transmission when used with compatible devices. This is a rare feature at this price point and gives the MeloBuds Pro an edge over competitors.LDAC is not available for iPhone users.
2. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
The ANC claims to reduce noise by up to 46dB, which, in theory, should be comparable to premium earbuds. In real-world testing, the ANC performs well, significantly reducing background noise in environments like cafes or while commuting. However, it’s not as aggressive as what you’d find in Sony or Bose earbuds, but again, given the price, it’s impressive.
3. Transparency Mode
For those who like to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music, the transparency mode works well. Voices come through clearly, making it useful for conversations or outdoor runs.
4. Battery Life & Charging
Battery life is another strong point. QCY promises 6-7 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC off, and up to 30 hours with the charging case. My experience matched these claims closely. Fast charging via USB-C ensures you’re never out of juice for too long.
5. Touch Controls & App Support
The earbuds feature responsive touch controls, allowing you to play/pause, switch modes, and adjust volume. They pair with the QCY app, which offers an equalizer, firmware updates, and customization for touch controls.
The app is fantastic—it’s easy to set up the touch functions like one touch, double touch, and triple touch. Once configured, the earbuds respond instantly to touch, making them extremely reliable. I set my triple touch function for Siri, and it launches immediately, which is very impressive.
Sound Quality: How Do They Really Sound?
I tested the MeloBuds Pro across multiple genres on Spotify and Apple Music, two of my go-to platforms. And wow, I wasn’t expecting this level of sound quality at this price point.
The sound signature is warm and slightly bass-heavy, making them a great choice for pop, hip-hop, and electronic music.
Bass: Punchy and well-rounded but not overpowering
Mids: Clear, making vocals and instruments stand out
Highs: Good anddetailed
If you’re an audiophile, you might find the sound slightly tuned for a mass-market audience, but the presence of LDAC support means you can get significantly better audio quality when paired with a compatible source.
I’m genuinely thrilled with how they sound. Whether I’m walking my dog or just relaxing at home, the MeloBuds Pro consistently delivers an immersive listening experience. Watching YouTube was a seamless experience—zero lag, everything felt smooth, and the earbuds handled video playback perfectly.
Call Quality & Connectivity
Call quality is good but not the best. The ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) helps cut out background noise, making calls clear in quiet environments, but in noisier settings, the mics struggle a bit.
Connectivity is rock solid, thanks to Bluetooth 5.2, with no noticeable drops or lag when watching videos.
Who Should Buy the QCY MeloBuds Pro?
You want Hi-Res audio on a budget – LDAC support is a huge plus at this price.
You need ANC but don’t want to spend a fortune – While not at Sony/Bose levels, it’s impressive for the price.
You’re looking for everyday wireless earbuds – Comfortable, good battery life, and reliable connectivity make these great for daily use.
Final Verdict: Are They Worth It?
At under £50/$50, the QCY MeloBuds Pro delivers premium features at an entry-level price. The ANC, LDAC, and solid battery life make them one of the best budget wireless earbuds in 2025. Are they perfect? No. But for the price, they over-deliver in ways that most competitors don’t. If you’re looking for affordable earbuds with great sound and useful features, these are a fantastic buy. I tried the Spatial Audio function, but it didn’t impress me. However, that’s not specific to the MeloBuds Pro, as I’ve never been a big fan of Spatial Audio tracks in general.
I went in with high expectations after my experience with the QCY H3 Pro, and these absolutely lived up to the hype. I’m honestly so impressed by the sound quality—it’s just so great.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely, and as I mentioned at the beginning of this post—they have replaced my Edifier earbuds as my daily driver!
