Avaj Skincare and Underwear Subscription Box Review
Subscription boxes are everywhere right now, but Avaj has decided to do something a little bit different. But before telling you everything about their new monthly subscription service, let’s talk about the brand.
Who is Avaj?
Avaj is a young UK brand specialised in men’s underwear and skincare products for men. The range of undies includes jockstraps, low rise briefs and boxers/trunks. The skincare range has an impressive choice from moisturisers to body scrubs and beard care. All their products included in the skincare range are made in the UK, paraben free and not tested on animals.
About the box?
Avaj wants to change the way you buy underwear and skincare products. They have put together a good looking box with a pair of undies (of your choice, don’t worry they won’t send you a jockstrap if you only wear boxers or trunks!), and two skincare products. All this for the amazing price of £25.00. To be honest the proposal is really tempting, and when I received the box (for review purposes) I was really impressed, essentially by two points that I value a lot. First, the overall presentation is stunning. I like all the details of the outside and inside of the box. When a brand takes great care in presentation and attention to details it says a lot. Secondly, the quality of the products. I didn’t know the brand and didn’t know what to expect but wow! In one simple word: impressive!
Inside the box everything was nicely packed, and I received a pair of boxer short in size S. I am a size 32 and the size S fits well. The wide waist elastic band with logo looks and feels great. The boxer trunk, is not too long and not too short, the fabric used is really nice and soft. Overall I am very impressed by the way it looks.
The other two products included are skincare products.
The first one is the Sumptuous Sandalwood Body Butter: 250ml. This Body Butter comes in a metal tin. The label and product description is simple, and effective. Once you open the tin, the first thing you will notice is the amazing fragrance of this body butter. I love Sandalwood and the smell reminds me of great shaving cream from your barber. The product itself is fantastic. It absorbs well onto the skin, and leaves a nice and distinctive smell. My advice, use it after the shower especially at night….I guarantee you will be noticed in the bedroom! Great product from Avaj Skincare.
The second product is a 50ml eye cream called: Mr Bright Eyes. The design of this little bottle with a pump is really great and clever. It is made of plastic but looks luxurious! What about the quality of the eye cream? I've used and tested a lot of eye creams in the past. Some work, some are a waste of money and some leave your skin under the eye very tight which I am not a fan of. But this eye cream is really gentle and soft with the skin under my eye. In fact I don’t think my skin ever felt that soft and nice with any other eye cream. And trust me, I am always very honest with my reviews, if a product doesn’t smell nice, or gives me irritation, spots etc… I will let always let you know. But honestly the Mr Bright Eyes from Avaj is a great product.
Final thoughts.
If you are not into subscription boxes, or feel a bit worried because you don’t know the brand, you can purchase their products individually on their website.
But if you want to try a different kind of subscription box, with an amazing selection of products, personalised with products you like and need, at £25.00 this box is a great value for money.
This is a different type of subscription, but if like me you value attention to details, great products, and a personalised monthly box...you can try it in total confidence. You won’t be disapointed!
