Western Rise Venture Hoodie and Spectrum Jogger Review: Ultimate Comfort for Men on the Move

Western Rise Venture Hoodie Review

Sometimes you just click with a brand—from the design of their products, the philosophy they follow, to the quality of what they produce. For me, that brand is Western Rise. The more I wear their clothes, the more I live my daily life, the more I feel aligned with what they stand for. Tomorrow, I'm waking up at 3 a.m. for a three-hour drive to France for the day and then heading back to Bristol. I know it might sound a bit mad to some, but I love this kind of life. Naturally, I’ll be wearing Western Rise—clothing designed for men who are always on the move. And while these clothes are perfect for travel, they’re also stylish enough for daily wear, even when you're not globetrotting. Today, I want to talk about two essentials that have become a core part of my everyday wardrobe—the Spectrum Jogger and Venture Hoodie.

The Spectrum Jogger

Western Rise Spectrum Jogger review

It’s no secret that joggers have made a massive comeback in the last 4-5 years, becoming part of everyday outfits for millions of men. The issue for me is that a lot of them end up looking too casual—especially those grey ones that seem designed to show off more than I’m comfortable with. But I do love the comfort of joggers, and that’s where Western Rise’s Spectrum Jogger steps in.

The pair I have is in black, and they look fantastic. The fabric is super comfortable, which I’ve come to expect from Western Rise. They’re made from 220 gsm polyester, with a stretchy, water- and stain-resistant finish. Honestly, the Spectrum Joggers are the comfiest pair of pants I’ve ever worn, jogger or not. And like all Western Rise products, they come with those handy hidden pockets for your phone, keys, wallet, earbuds—everything you need to carry without a bulky look.

What I appreciate most, though, is the design. These joggers are slightly fitted, giving them a sharp, stylish look that works whether you're lounging at home, on the move or heading to the office for a meeting. That’s the versatility I value. One thing to note is they run a little large—I'm usually a 33-inch waist in Western Rise, but I went with an M for these joggers, and it fits perfectly (an L would’ve been too big). The black color looks sharp, and it’s 100% a piece you can’t go wrong with—super comfy, well-designed, and versatile.

The Venture Hoodie

Now, let’s talk about what has become my favorite hoodie—the Venture Hoodie. Western Rise calls the fabric 'waffle,' and it has this fantastic, textured look that makes it stand out from your usual hoodie. It’s stretchy, which makes it super comfortable to wear. The design is unique, and while it has a casual feel, I honestly think you could wear it in more sophisticated settings as well. This isn’t just another hoodie—it feels like a premium piece.

I’ve got it in sand color, and it’s stunning, especially when paired with the black Spectrum Jogger. It’s the perfect combination. My usual go-to is wearing a black T-shirt underneath the Venture Hoodie, and I’m ready for the day—whether I’m on the move or just enjoying a laid-back day in Bristol.

I’ve done a short video where you can see both the Venture Hoodie and Spectrum Jogger. You can catch it on my YouTube channel or down below. And, of course, I’m no 30-something model, but as a 50-year-old dad, I hope it shows that you can wear Western Rise at any age if you value comfort and style.

Conclusion

Western Rise has truly nailed it with the Spectrum Jogger and Venture Hoodie. What stands out to me is their commitment to creating clothing that adapts to the lifestyle of men who are constantly on the go, yet also care about how they look. Whether you're traveling, working from home, or heading out for casual meetings, these pieces seamlessly fit into any scenario. Plus, they offer that rare combination of comfort, practicality, and style, which can sometimes feel like a compromise with other brands.

For someone like me, who's balancing life at 50 with the same energy and adventure I had in my 30s, finding clothes that keep up with my lifestyle is key. Western Rise delivers that balance in spades. So, if you're looking for gear that works for all aspects of your life without sacrificing style, I'd say these two pieces are a solid place to start.
