Simply Cook Review: A Great Subscription Box for Food Lovers

I enjoy cooking and I know that a lot of guys love it too. But sometimes we are stuck, we don’t know what to cook anymore.  Then when you want to cook this little something special for you and your wife/husband you are totally stuck. So today I am writing about Simply Cook because I think this is the solution to our lack of inspiration! I am a subscriber to their service, and I wanted to share my experience with you. Is it any good, is cooking really made easy?

So Simply Cook is a box that contains 4 little boxes with all the spices and sauces you need to cook 4 delicious meals. You can get one every month, or every two weeks. Personally I think the monthly box is best as you can cook a delicious and unique meal once a week. If you want to start a regular date night with your wife, girlfriend, husband or boyfriend and it has to be at home (you know….we have four children and we don't have a baby sitter!), Simply Cook is very handy!

Before receiving your box, you can log in to your account and choose the recipes (a good option if you've loved a previous one!), or you can let Simply Cook surprise you.  Each box costs £9.99 with free delivery and it fits perfectly through the letterbox so you don’t have to worry about being at home for the delivery.

What's in the box?

You get 4 little boxes with all the spices, mix, sauces for an amazing dish. You will find 4 cards, each with the picture of the dish, the complete recipe, and a little detachable list to take shopping with you to get the other ingredients you will need for your meal. That’s the important part. This is not a food box that includes everything for your meal. That’s a recipe box, and yes you will have to buy the meat, rice etc. A lot of people will say 'why not go to the shops and buy everything yourself'. Well firstly I think it will be very difficult (even with somebody with good cooking knowledge) to get that inspired with this huge variety of meal, then the mixes/sauces are truly unique and taste really great, and finally the convenience and the surprise. All of this for the price of 3 lattes at your local Starbucks! Honestly, you cannot beat it.

My experience with Simply Cook

I would say my experience has been highly positive. Each time I've cooked a meal from the box, the explosion of flavour and the originality is just outstanding. For example last night I cooked one recipe called: Nasi Goreng. This is a typical rice meal from Indonesia and Malaysia and that was just fabulous. You will enjoy it.
 

Final thoughts

If like me, you enjoy cooking, you will love the Simply Cook subscription box. At £9.99 a box (I choose the monthly plan), you will update your cooking big time. It is convenient, original, and the mix of flavours from everywhere in the world is just unique.
